Dan Zwonitzer said he owns guns and enjoys shooting. However, he said Wyoming is among the top states in the country in terms of gun-related deaths by population and said the state doesn’t need legislation to encourage more people to carry guns.
Sound like he’s reading for the Brady Campaign, maybe he can get a job with them.
Zwonitzer quoted the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which states in part that a “well-regulated militia” is necessary to the security of a free state. He said he wouldn’t have a problem with the bill if it specified that members of the Wyoming National Guard have a right to carry weapons.
Does this sound like someone that has read the constitution?
The above words are from 2006, so in the 2009 session Zwonitzer in a effort to appear pro-gun, introduced HJ 18.
Don’t let the House Joint Resolution HJ 18 fool you this is just “campaign fodder”, it does nothing and it might as well be written on toilet paper, these resolutions are used only to get re-elected.
Why else would this Joint Resolution say on the bottom of the page, ”make copies available to the media outlets” ? click here to see
Similar to the upcoming Tenth Amendment Joint Resolution “requesting Congress to cease and desist from enacting mandates that are beyond the scope of the enumerated powers granted to Congress by the Constitution of the United States”… click here to see
Remember useless resolutions are just, “words on paper” don’t we deserve more than that?
See the oath that our legislators take. click here
