H.R 1955 Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007
Whenever a government becomes destructive of life, liberty and happiness, it is the right of the people to abolish it and institute a new government. Simply put if you agree with the Declaration of Independence you could be considered an enemy of the government and under a law like H.R. 1955 you could be imprisoned to say the least, Ruby Ridge scenarios would become the norm.
This Bill overrides your Constitution rights - Loss of free speech, Surveillance, search and seizure, imprisonment, It all about giving the Government unchecked power over you.
This is the “thought police” at its most extreme level, It should scare you!
H.R. 1955 passed the House and made it to senate committee but that’s as far as it went, what is important here is the voting record and the majority of “Enemies of Freedom”.
Also note that the senate introduced it as S 1959 Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 see below.
We need to review this and be watching the horizon for a return of this kind of legislation!
