IACP – Police Union

police-powerInternational Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) was founded in Chicago in 1893, on a global basis they are one of the most venomous anti-gun organizations in our country. This article is to inform you about the collective organizations including the state level union WASCOP. Going forward we will call them the Police Union.

The Police Union has become such a force against your gun rights, mostly due to the fact that “Joe Public” failed to object since they had no idea this was happening. “Who ever knew the police union was organizing to fight against my gun rights in Wyoming”. Sadly it’s usually too late, but since you are reading this you have an early advantage.

Police Unions give cover to other anti-gun organizations -
The Brady Campaign and other gun grabbing organizations like the Joyce Foundation operate stealthy. Think about it, if the Joyce Foundation set up camp in Wyoming they would be highly visible to gun owners. Instead these organizations use tactics such as funding through grants or operating through other groups. SEIU which also has police union ties, has built a global network using these same methods.

The Joyce Foundation and the link to Police Unions–
…[Obama once sat on the board of the] Chicago-based foundation that doled out at least nine grants totaling nearly $2.7 million to groups that advocated the [anti-gun] positions. The foundation funded legal scholarship advancing the theory that the Second Amendment does not protect individual gun owners’ rights, as well as two groups that advocated handgun bans. And it paid to support a book called “Every Handgun Is Aimed at You: The Case for Banning Handguns.” … Source Politico - click here

Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chief of Police (WASCOP) and IACP–

Executive Board Members of WASCOP (the ones that guide the organization) are also members of IACP, here are some references:

Byron Oedekoven (former Sheriff of Campbell county) is the Executive Director of WASCOP, lifetime member of IACP.

Sheriff Danny Glick (R-Laramie) is the 2nd Vice President of WASCOP, member of IACP since 2006.

Chief Troy Lane is the 5th Vice President of WASCOP, member of IACP since 2007

The Police Union/ Gun-Grabbers wish-list–
(IACP) International Association of Chiefs of Police has close ties with Brady, The Joyce Foundation and other gun-grabbing organizations as a unified force against your gun rights. As mentioned earlier IACP was founded in Chicago in 1893 and since then has fought against the gun rights of the citizens on a global basis. At a local level through association with WASCOP members this venomous agenda is here in Wyoming. Your Sheriff, Police Chief and Mayor will all say they didn’t know about this agenda, don’t believe them!

Funding for (WASCOP) Wyoming Association of Sheriffs–
Besides funding from other Police Associations and various groups, organizations like WASCOP get funding from State and Federal grants. We speculate they have an operating budget in the excess of $500,000 yearly, which may be used to fight against the rights of law abiding citizens here in Wyoming. WASCOP is regularly funded by taxpayer money through federal and state grants for various community programs, in many cases the funds have stipulations that state it cannot be used to lobby Congress, however there are no such strings here. WASCOP can use the public money to lobby the state legislature and they do. WASCOP is the strongest anti-gun lobby in the state.

Local public funds are used to fight against your rights–
One example is Sheriff Danny Glick (R-Laramie). Glick as the 2nd Vice President of WASCOP attended many Police Union conferences used taxpayers money. As reported in The Wyoming Tribune Eagle, flights have cost taxpayers upwards of about $2,500 to attend. Parking at Denver International Airport $228 in the 2008-09 fiscal year and he spent more than $1,200 for flights. In all, Glick spent more than $6,100 on hotel rooms that year and more than $8,400 on travel expenses total. In the 2008-09 fiscal year…he also spent $325.43 on meals, according to receipts from the county finance department.

Virtually $8700 of Laramie County tax payers money was used to organize against your gun rights!
