The Start of Nanny State Gun Control

The Gun Control Agenda has reared up and shown it’s ugly head here in Wyoming.

While most of us would like Alaska style carry or broader concealed carry reciprocity, our State Attorney is working to do just the opposite.
Bruce Salzburg was appointed by Gov. Freudenthal another Gun Grabber at heart. Gov. Freudenthal campaigned for Obama in other States on our dime, and told them that there was no confirmation that Obama would enact gun control.

We are at great risk of loosing CCW Reciprocity with many other States including Colorado and Montana.

Call Gov. Dave Freudenthal 307-777-7434 and tell him you are not happy about this or any gun control.

FROM: Forrest C. Bright, Director

RE: Concealed Firearm Permit Reciprocity

I am writing to let all the agencies in Wyoming know of substantial changes resulting from review of other states’ concealed firearm criteria. The Wyoming Attorney General’s Office recently completed examination of the other 49 states statutes for the purpose of honoring concealed firearms permits issued by another state, or reciprocity.

Pursuant to Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 6-8-401(a)(iii), Wyoming will recognize a permit from another state that “has laws similar to the provisions of this section, as determined by the attorney general . . ..” The Wyoming Attorney General has determined that with the exception of 8 states, presently all the others concealed firearm permit statutes are not sufficiently similar to Wyoming ’s. Specifically, Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 6-8-104(b)(v) prohibits issuance of a permit to any person who has been convicted of a controlled substance violation, felony or misdemeanor in any jurisdiction. Most other states’ analogous statutes do not.

The Wyoming Attorney General holds that if a misdemeanor drug conviction disqualifies a Wyoming resident, it also needs to disqualify an out-of-state permit holder. Due to the difference in how each state handles controlled substance convictions, Wyoming is also limited in our ability to maintain reciprocity with states we may have previously.

Accordingly, as of March 1, 2009, Wyoming can only honor concealed firearm permits issued by the following states: Connecticut, Ohio, Georgia, Oklahoma, Maryland, Oregon, Massachusetts, and Utah.

H.R. 45 Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009

First some history on Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush, In 1968 he went AWOL from the Army, he is one of the co-founders of the Chicago Black Panthers, In 1969 he went to jail for an illegal weapons conviction. Truly he is the definition of hypocrisy and corruption.

After hearing him speak, one would argue that there is no way he could craft H.R. 45 on his own and that someone higher up on the food chain passed the bill to him. Also to be noted is that there are no other sponsors on this bill, it is believed that this bill was introduced to test the waters.

 1/6/2009–Introduced by Bobby Rush

Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff is the worst kind of Gun-Grabber.

rahm_emanuelMost of us that keep our ears close to the track have heard that Rahm Emanuel  was a Board Member of Freddie Mac and he has acted unprofessionally during his career as a Congressman, but the shielding of the Obama Administration to the general public goes beyond the  media. This shielding runs deep in Washington and sadly even the NRA isn’t on the forefront of informing their constituents, and the elected officials that are supposedly on our side are not informing us about the pure hatred of gun-owners coming out of D.C.

WyGO intends to formally ask Sen. Barraso, Sen. Enzi and Rep.Cynthia Lummis why this agenda seems to be hidden from us.

Watching the following video posted by Gun-Grabbers Inc. (Brady Campaign) shows the true intention of Obama and his cronies.
They never speak about going after the criminals just guns.

Near the end of the clip Emanuel states there is a 40% increase in gun violence, he pulled that lie out of the air- all stats including FBI and DOJ disagree with his numbers.

Now is the time to watch out

H.R 1955 Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007

Whenever a government becomes destructive of life, liberty and happiness, it is the right of the people to abolish it and institute a new government. Simply put if you agree with the Declaration of Independence you could be considered an enemy of the government and under a law like H.R. 1955 you could be imprisoned to say the least, Ruby Ridge scenarios would become the norm.

This Bill overrides your Constitution rights - Loss of free speech, Surveillance, search and seizure, imprisonment, It all about giving the Government unchecked power over you.

This is the “thought police” at its most extreme level, It should scare you!

H.R. 1955 passed the House and made it to senate committee but that’s as far as it went, what is important here is the voting record and the majority of “Enemies of Freedom”.

Also note that the senate introduced it as S 1959 Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 see below.

We need to review this and be watching the horizon for a return of this kind of legislation!

Laramie County Prosecutor Scott A. Homar goes after victim instead of thugs

DA Scott Homar

DA Scott Homar

Meet Chase Vosler, a young man that many of us would view as a hero, you see he had just picked up his younger sister and taken her home, it was after midnight and he was doing as instructed by his father. A friend of his sister that was staying with them had walked to their home and apparently some troublemaker’s followed her there.

What happened next to this Cheyenne family was their worst nightmare, these troublemaker’s turned out to be thugs of the worst kind.

These thugs accosted the visitor outside the home of the Voslers, and Chase Vosler saving her from further assault got her into the house.

At this point there were two assailants, one was circling the house and the other proceeded to break in the front door with a shovel that was on the front porch.

By now the intruder had his hand in the broken glass opening of the door trying to get in, you could see the “gang style” tattoo marked hand reaching for deadbolt.

Chase Vosler was 21 at the time and feared what could happen to his younger sister and her friend, he shot and injured one of the assailants with a 22 rifle. Given the same circumstances wouldn’t you do the same thing.

Laramie County District Attorney Scott A. Homar doesn’t see it the same way, he doesn’t believe in your right to defend yourself, your family or your home and especially if you use a gun.

Prosecutor Scott A. Homar charged Chase Vosler with “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon”, and the assailants John Esquibel and his cousin Vincent Motoya went scott-free pardon the pun.
