Whereas: The Wyoming Constitution, U.S. Constitution, the Constitution of 44 states, common law,

                       and the laws of all 50 states recognize the right to use arms in self-defense; and

   Whereas: Laws that prohibited the rights of individuals to carry guns for self-defense only disarm

                       the law abiding citizens thereby giving the criminals an upper hand; and

   Whereas: Repealing “criminal safe zone” will fulfill the right to use arms in self-defense by

                       individuals that are legally able to carry firearms; and

   Whereas: Repeal of “criminal safe zones” would allow every law-abiding Wyoming citizen to carry

                       a gun to protect themselves and their families WITHOUT the fear of being criminalized

                       by unconstitutional gun free zones;

  Therefore: In the interests of freedom, and the right of individuals to protect themselves and their

                       families wherever they might be, I urge you to both cosponsor and seek roll-call votes

                       on legislation that would repeal Gun Free Zones and restore the rights to the people of

                       Wyoming.
