Wyoming’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) has major flaws. Designed to tell the federal government that they can’t use Wyoming cops to enforce federal gun control laws, the RINOs in Cheyenne gutted key provisions of this law when it passed in 2022.
Right now, Wyoming’s SAPA law has no penalties of any consequence.
Right now, Wyoming’s SAPA law doesn’t prevent federal task forces.
Right now, Wyoming’s SAPA law doesn’t put limits on rogue agencies.
But with Trump in the White House, now is the time to improve our SAPA law, as we won’t have to worry about getting involved in lawsuits with a hostile Department of Justice! Senator Salazar and Rep. Wharff have filed the bill.
