The gun-grabbers believe a pick up of even just a handful of state legislative seats in Cheyenne this November will mean gun control is a done deal.
All over the country, supposedly “pro-Second Amendment” Republicans are jumping on BILLIONAIRE Michael Bloomberg’s “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation order scheme.
In fact, it’s already been passed into law in Florida where Republicans control the entire state government. It passed under a GOP Governor in Illinois.
Republicans in Iowa, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania are pushing for passage in early 2019.
Here in Wyoming, outgoing GOP Governor Matt Mead urged state legislators to spend the summer working on “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation legislation.
That way, as soon as the State Legislature convenes for 2019, the gun-grabbers can RAM it into law — BEFORE you and I have time to mobilize!
Make no mistake. The battle over “Red Flag” Confiscation Orders is coming to Wyoming.
That’s why all of your candidates for Governor, State House and Senate need to hear from you TODAY. So please sign and submit the petition that we have prepared for you right away. More on that below.
If passed, these so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders would allow government agents to be able to bust into your home and seize your guns even if you haven’t been arrested — much less convicted of anything!
Your rights could be in jeopardy if someone merely complains about you.
And that could be just because some ultra-liberal aunt got mad at a Facebook post you made! Or it could be some crazed ex-boyfriend or ex-spouse who wants to poison your reputation amongst everyone you know.
In this day and age, everyone knows at least one person who’s been through a horrible break up or divorce.
Should this bill pass, it would set up virtually unlimited opportunity for abuse.
In fact, the accuser doesn’t even have to file their complaint before a court in most cases. They can just phone it in!
And under the “ex parte” hearings that are usually included within these “Red Flag” bills, you wouldn’t even know about the order to seize your guns until the government agents show up at your door.
Once your guns are seized, you’ll be spending weeks and thousands of dollars in court in attorney’s fees to try and get them back. And if some anti-gun judge or prosecutor just doesn’t like you, your goose could be cooked.
So please help us build momentum to stop this bill here in Wyoming, by signing your petition TODAY!
But won’t these “red flag” seizures help law enforcement stop madmen who are prepared to kill?
Just consider the facts.
Under current law, those who tell others of their intent to kill can be arrested for making threats if law enforcement is ever informed.
Those who are exhibiting “warning signs” that they may be planning violence, can — at minimum — be interviewed by law enforcement who can move to arrest the person if needed.
As anyone in law enforcement will tell you, you can tell A LOT about a person’s intentions with the answers to just a couple questions.
But they’ll also tell you that no gun control law on the books will ever do a lick of good if law enforcement fails to do its job — like we saw at Parkland, Florida earlier this year.
Gun-grabbers know all of this, but they don’t care.
Their goal is to completely ELIMINATE due process to effectively enable bureaucrats to decide who gets guns and who doesn’t.
That’s why our job is to draw a line in the sand against “Red Flag Gun Seizures” RIGHT NOW before it’s too late.
So please, sign your petition opposing this legislation NOW!
The bad news is, many candidates for the State House and Senate flat-out REFUSED to answer Wyoming Gun Owners’ Candidate Survey because they support so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders.
But this is our chance to CHANGE THEIR MIND!!!
You see, election time — when candidates are out desperately seeking votes — is when legislators tend to listen best to the folks back home.
When they’re safely back in Cheyenne, media elites and the slick lobbyists armed with fat checks usually have their ear. So it often takes an overwhelming grassroots ROAR to ensure our voices are heard.
