I’ll admit I was a little saddened by the news . . .
But Wyoming Gun Owners President David Ball — a good friend of mine — tells me he hasn’t heard from you about renewing your membership for 2019.
As the former Executive Director for Wyoming Gun Owners, I know what a difference every supporter makes.
Of course, if you’ve already sent in your 2019 renewal contribution, THANK YOU! I sincerely apologize if this email is unnecessary.

The fact is, even before the results of the 2018 midterms, the gun-grabbers were already plotting an all-out push for so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders in Wyoming.
After all, they had enormous success in 2018 passing this scheme in states where Republicans held big majorities.
This scheme was recently passed into law in Florida where Republicans controlled the entire state government.
It passed under a GOP Governor in Illinois. Republicans in Iowa are openly discussing RAMMING it into law in early 2019. And Republicans in Utah, Tennessee, Ohio, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania are pushing for passage as well.
I can hardly begin to explain what a DISASTER this would be if so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders ever came to Wyoming.
If passed, government agents would be able to bust into your home and seize your guns, even if you haven’t been arrested — much less convicted of anything!
All it takes is someone to file a bogus complaint against you. Maybe it’s your liberal neighbor who doesn’t like the pro-gun bumper sticker on your vehicle.
Or maybe it’s an anti-gun college professor who simply hates gun owners, or an embittered ex, looking to ruin you.
Every gun owner in the state knows someone who has gone through a bad divorce; maybe you’ve gone through that misery yourself.
Can you imagine what an embittered ex-spouse could do to you if Wyoming were to enact this legislation?
Once your guns are seized, you’ll be spending weeks and thousands of dollars in court attorney’s fees to try and get them back.
And if some anti-gun judge or prosecutor just doesn’t like you, your goose could be cooked. That’s what these so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation schemes are all about.
The Gun Control Lobby’s goal is to completely ELIMINATE due process, to effectively enable bureaucrats to decide who gets guns and who doesn’t.
So how do we stop this scheme?
. . . Just like Wyoming’s Second Amendment supporters did last year when we passed Stand-Your-Ground over the objections of members of BOTH parties who threw roadblock after roadblock our way.
In other words, you and I must be willing to FIGHT.
That’s why it’s so critical you renew your membership in Wyoming Gun Owners today!
With your support, Wyoming Gun Owners is prepared to pull out all the stops to defeat ANY AND ALL new gun control schemes.
And since sometimes the best defense is a good offense, David Ball tells me Wyoming Gun Owners is preparing to launch an all-out push for “Gun Free Zone” Repeal as well, which I will be introducing.
And with Governor-elect Mark Gordon having promised to sign this bill when it’s on his desk, now is the time to force public, roll-call votes on the Wyoming “Gun Free Zone” Repeal Bill and put the Republican majorities in Cheyenne on record.
If passed, the Wyoming “Gun Free Zone” Repeal Bill would REPEAL so-called “Gun Free Zones” in state government buildings across Wyoming and go a long way toward making our citizens safer.
After all — just as we’ve seen from bloodbath after bloodbath over the past two decades –- “Gun Free Zone” schemes have absolutely NOTHING to do with keeping citizens safe from violence.
Instead, “Gun Free Zones” are bait for sickos. They just ensure killers never have to worry about running into someone who is armed.
Gun-grabbers know all of that. But they don’t care. To them, it’s about power. To them, “deplorables” like you and me have to be controlled.
Sadly, with more and more out-of-staters pouring into Wyoming for our natural beauty — bringing their “elite” value system along with them — “government-knows-best” thinking is becoming more and more prevalent.
Because of that you and I are starting to look very juicy to anti-gun activists like Michael Bloomberg for a Colorado-style takeover.
If we don’t stop them, everything we love about Wyoming could be lost overnight.
But whether it’s fighting back against so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders or building grassroots pressure for “Gun Free Zone” Repeal, it all takes resources.
That’s why I was a little saddened to hear David hadn’t yet heard from you regarding your renewed membership for 2019.
So please take a moment and renew your membership IMMEDIATELY!
I know David has told you this before.
But I want you to hear it from me, too, as someone who’s seen your impact firsthand from the inside. You’re a critical part of Wyoming Gun Owners’ winning team.
It’s because of you that not one gun control bill has passed into law here since Wyoming Gun Owners’ formation.
And I can’t bear to see you walk away now. Not with the gun-grabbers turning their attention to Wyoming.
Not when we could be on the precipice of even more major victories. Not when we have the opportunity to finally tell the national Gun Control Lobby they’re NOT WELCOME in Wyoming!
